Background:

Municipalities and Economic Development organizations can access funding, talent, and solutions to challenges through Mitacs, a not-for-profit organization that fosters growth and innovation in Canada. Through various Mitacs programs, Economic Development organizations and their members, including municipalities, can access a range of research expertise and specialized skills from Canada’s postsecondary institutions to advance innovation, policy, and local projects. This session will feature an introduction to Mitacs, and its programs followed by an overview of relevant projects supported by Mitacs and various EDAC members.
