In partnership, the Cities of Markham and Vaughan will deploy two Demonstration Zones, providing Ontario-based companies that have automotive and smart mobility technologies and solutions an opportunity to test, validate and showcase to potential customers and partners. The Demonstration Zones will be living-labs, promoting collaboration to advance automotive, mobility and smart city technologies that can improve the quality of life of local residents, while generating new economic opportunities for Ontario-based companies.
Reporting to the Manager, Auto Mobility Demonstration Zone and working closely with the Cities of Vaughan and Markham, the Policy Advisor is a key member of the Auto Mobility Demonstration Zone. The Policy Advisor is responsible for developing policy and regulatory frameworks for demonstrations, developing policy and regulatory resources and tools to promote the implementation of mobility solutions in municipalities, and liaising with municipal and private stakeholders on shaping and developing resources to encourage adoption of mobility technologies.
