We have an opening for a MANAGER, TOURISM & SPECIAL EVENTS
This role will help to position Brampton for the future by leading, managing, planning and implementing strategic tourism and events initiatives that position the City of Brampton as a key destination in order to drive strategic goals for a prosperous and vibrant community.
The successful candidate:
Networks within the industry and obtains industry intelligence in order to proactively evolve strategies to take advantage of new and successful trends in tourism
- Fosters and develops a strong, positive team environment, driving empowerment, innovation and a high level of engagement
- Develops a multi-year strategy for Garden Square, corporate and community events that enhances cultural and economic vibrancy of the city
- Is a partner who collaborates with people across the corporation to develop innovative solutions that advance our objectives
- Has a proven track record of building and maintaining high performing teams who are engaged in their work and the workplace
