Economic Development Manager – East Gwillimbury

Reporting to the General Manager of Development Services, the successful candidate will possess creativity and enthusiasm for promoting the Town of East Gwillimbury as the destination for investment and employment growth. The candidate will be responsible for identifying and pursuing business development opportunities with a priority focus on prestige employment and industrial businesses; securing business development and downtown revitalization funding and leading project implementation; leading broadband expansion initiatives; enhancing the development process to reflect AdvantageEG objectives; collaborating with the Economic Development Advisory Committee and stakeholders in the business and government sector; establishing relationships with post-secondary learning institutions and identifying related opportunities within East Gwillimbury; fostering relationships with innovative developers and community stakeholders to facilitate the servicing and development of employment lands; ongoing business liaison with existing businesses; assisting with business growth matters as a priority.
