Welcome to the Town of Halton Hills – On the Road to Everywhere

The Halton Hills: On the Road to Everywhere video series showcases the Town’s distinctive value proposition as a premier investment destination. In Halton Hills, the fusion of urban amenities with rural charm not only catalyzes innovation but also cultivates prosperity – making the Town a highly sought-after locale for living, working, and recreation. By focusing on businesses, entrepreneurs and families alike, the video series appeals to those seeking an environment rich in innovation that also offers a superior quality of life.

To further strengthen Invest Halton Hills’ marketing and communications efforts in 2024, the “On the Road to” video series was developed to spotlight Halton Hills’ competitive industries and communicate the advantages of locating a business in Halton Hills, with the goal to:

  • Raise awareness of Halton Hills, and the business located within it, in an exciting, authentic and dynamic way
  • Inspire businesses to relocate to Halton Hills
  • Demonstrate that Halton Hills is a great place to live, work and raise a family
  • Communicate a sense of place by highlighting local area and experiences, including dining, drinking and cultural attractions

Staff carefully developed a concept that would allow the video series to cut through the abundance of promotional materials in the market and stand out in a highly competitive environment. A “docu-style” approach was taken with the videos, to make viewers feel like they are watching a documentary. This approach allows the viewer to create an emotional connection to the content – and the Town – while delivering a message that is clear, consistent, genuine and authentic.

The primary audiences for the video series are:

  • Non-residential developers and realtors
  • International companies and investors
  • Government Stakeholders (e.g. Halton Region, Province of Ontario, Global Affairs)
  • Local business organizations (e.g. Chamber of Commerce, BIAs)
  • Media

Additionally, four 1-minute videos highlight Halton Hills’ FDI target sectors, along with a local business in that sector:

Thus far, the Halton Hills: On the Road to Everywhere video has accumulated over 3,000 interactions since its release on various platforms in April 2024. This engagement demonstrates the series’ effectiveness in showcasing the Town’s investment appeal within the GTA.

Halton Hills continues to stand as a beacon of innovation and sustainability in the GTA. Both the “On the Road to Everywhere” and “On the Road to Sustainability” videos captivate the audience with a personal connection to sustainability through the integration of innovation and nature. Collectively, all the videos capture the uniqueness of Halton Hills’ rural small-town community feel while ensuring that the Town can provide the foundation and tools to promote sustainability by intertwining personal commitment, community collaboration, practical initiatives and a vision for a sustainable future.

The video series conveys the overarching and cohesive message that Halton Hills is close to everything and everywhere (IE: Halton Hills has access to talent, business connectivity/market access, competitive costs, proximity to innovation and quality of life).

This messaging also aligns with the Town’s new Community Profile document, Halton Hills: On the Road to Success, which was completed concurrently with video project through a separate vendor.
