Purpose of Project (including anticipated outcomes)
The Regina 25 promotional video was created as a key storytelling tool to introduce the campaign’s purpose, spark public interest, and drive nominations. Our goal was to capture the heart of the initiative – celebrating the people who shape Regina – in a format that was emotionally compelling, visually engaging, and highly shareable.
The video highlighted the unique opportunities and personal stories that make Regina a place people are proud to call home, while reinforcing the campaign’s central message: By Regina, For Regina. It aimed to inspire community pride and encourage active participation. The video was used widely across social media and showcased during the live awards event.
Effectiveness/Meeting Objectives (if known)
Objective: Build awareness, inspire nominations, and reinforce campaign branding
Result: The video generated over 10,650 views, reached more than 8,000 people, and was shared 49 times across social media platforms. It directly contributed to a spike in website traffic and nomination submissions with a 4.36% click-through rate on LinkedIn.
Challenges & Changes Made:
One of our biggest challenges was ensuring the video felt professional while staying grounded in authenticity. We wanted to celebrate Regina without leaning into overly polished or scripted content. This meant finding a tone that was real, relatable, and reflective of the community.
Target Audiences (demographics)
Any specifics as detailed in the particular awards categories:
Launched by Mayor Chad Bachynski at Regina’s State of the City address, the Regina 25 promotional video was designed as a dynamic, multi-purpose asset that captured the essence of the entire campaign. It reinforced the core message: By Regina, For Regina. The video’s tone was locally grounded, inspirational, and inclusive – reflecting the authentic voices of the city. It was formatted for use across multiple platforms, including social media and the live awards event, maximizing visibility and long-term value.
Any details regarding the sustainability of your project. Sustainability is about being mindful of one’s place, processes, and mentality in order to influence change for the better of our communities, local and global.
To keep things low-cost and eco-friendly, we used existing footage from past EDR projects and community shoots instead of filming a lot of new stuff. This helped cut down on travel and emissions. We worked with a local media company to support Regina’s creative scene and keep things simple.
