Ignite Program Packages

Submitted ByIgnite

Our packages were developed to address a growing need for clarity, consistency, and deeper engagement across Ignite’s Business Growth and Workforce & Attraction programming. While our website (myignite.ca/programs) offers high-level overviews, it became clear that prospective participants—especially newcomers, first-time entrepreneurs, small business owners, and employers—needed more than short descriptions to confidently decide if a program was right for them.

Each package, ranging from 6 to 12 pages, provides a comprehensive look at a specific program. They outline learning outcomes, session breakdowns, delivery formats, time commitments, expected results, and FAQs. Beyond general descriptions, participants can see exactly what they’ll gain—whether it’s a tailored sales playbook, marketing KPI dashboard, business planning template, or newcomer integration tool.

The Business Growth packages align with the entrepreneurial journey—from foundational workshops like Business Basics and Marketing Essentials, to more advanced programs like Sales Essentials, Grow With Your Business, and Planning for Growth. These resources help entrepreneurs of all backgrounds understand the progression of learning and support available to help them launch, grow, and scale their businesses.

The Workforce & Attraction packages—including the Integration Success Program (ISP), Economic Empowerment Program (EEP), and Cultural Competency Program—support another core pillar of Ignite’s mission: inclusive communities and diverse workplaces. These packages offer tools for both newcomers and employers to navigate cultural integration, enhance workforce readiness, and foster inclusive hiring practices.

Whether focused on entrepreneurship or workforce inclusion, each package is user-friendly, written in plain language, and visually accessible. They help clients make informed decisions and arrive at sessions better prepared. Internally, they save staff time, eliminate repetitive conversations, and ensure consistent messaging across departments and outreach efforts.

The impact has been significant: higher registration rates, faster onboarding, and better participant preparedness across both business and workforce programs. Staff report fewer repetitive inquiries, and clients arrive with clearer expectations. Feedback from both business owners and newcomers has been overwhelmingly positive. Several participants have noted that the packages gave them the confidence to take their next step.

The biggest challenge was balancing depth with accessibility. Early drafts were overly text-heavy, especially for programs with technical content. The team revised layouts for clarity—adding infographics, icons, and simplified language. Key information like registration details and learning formats was standardized across all packages, making them easier to navigate and update.

The Program Packages were created with a broad audience in mind, including entrepreneurs, small business owners, employers, and underrepresented groups such as newcomers, women, and youth. Workforce packages address both sides of the employment equation: individuals seeking meaningful work and employers striving for inclusion. All materials reflect Ignite’s commitment to inclusive economic development through accessible tone, language, and format.

This submission includes multiple stand-alone packages, each exceeding five pages, across two pillars of service—Business Growth and Workforce & Attraction. Together, they form a cohesive branded series that promotes participation in Ignite programs and contributes to both business investment and workforce development in the region.

Designed for digital-first distribution, the packages reduce printing needs, supporting long-term sustainability by equipping clients with tools they can revisit anytime. Internally, they improve operational efficiency, scale communication, and provide a consistent template for all future program materials.
