Flagstaff Region Featured Business

Flagstaff County, in partnership with The Community Press, runs the Flagstaff Region Featured Business program to support local businesses by raising awareness, encouraging local patronage, and fostering relationships between business owners, Flagstaff County Economic Development, and The Community Press. 

One of the strategic pillars for economic development is business retention. In the current economy, many Flagstaff Region businesses struggle with the cost of inflation. To address this, the Flagstaff Region Featured Business Program will spotlight local businesses, encouraging residents to support and shop locally. Increased local support and spending will help our business community achieve greater sustainability and growth, making them more likely to invest back into the community.  

When a business enters this free program, they will have a custom curated video, photo, written article and social media posts created for their business. All this content will be shared by the Community Press in their weekly newspaper, Flagstaff County Website and Social Media platforms, as well the business can use this content on all platforms under their name. This allows for one video to be initially shared with over 20,000 viewers. 

This program has been in place since 2017 and in 2024 the program has expanded to include Flagstaff Region Community Development Organizations as well. In that time span we have featured 61 businesses and counting. All the past featured businesses continue to be show cased on both the Flagstaff County and Community Press websites.

The two and half minute video is curated to tell the businesses Engaging Story in a memorable way. Through visuals, music, and narration, you can feel the emotional connection to the business.
