Business Park Investment Opportunities Video – Town of Georgina

When shovels hit the ground in late 2022 within the Town’s employment lands, Georgina’s Economic Development and Tourism office prioritized investment readiness and attraction efforts for 2023.  Partnering with York Region through its Foreign Direct Investment Partnership Fund, several projects were implemented to support the Town’s goals of helping developers secure tenants, create more jobs, and increase the non-residential tax base. These initiatives included launching a new website, choosegeorgina.ca, publishing an advertorial in the National Post, conducting digital campaigns, and producing a new video showcasing investment opportunities in the new business park.

The one-minute video highlighted Georgina’s 500+ acres of business park lands, emphasizing the Town’s proximity to urban markets, robust transportation network, growing economy, appealing lifestyle and available incentives. Released alongside the other deliverables, the video sought to maximize reach and frequency. An online campaign targeting investors in the southern GTA and northern US ran from September to October 2023, garnering over 26,000 views.

The video continues to be accessible on YouTube and the business park page on choosegeorgina.ca, playing a crucial role in Georgina’s investment attraction efforts. This has led to an increase in major investment leads over the past year, with one tenant already secured and others in discussion.
