About the role….

Working under the Director of Business Development, Tourism and Infrastructure, the Business Development Officer supports the implementation of the Economic & Business Development plan, managing key economic development initiatives, coordinates the department’s local Business Retention and Expansion program.  The position also works closely with the Building and planning department to better coordinate development and business growth opportunities within the District.

You have exceptional communication skills and business acumen accompanied by strong negotiation skills. You also possess the tact and judgement to navigate your way through challenges successfully.

Your experience in public sector economic development, sales, marketing, or account management accompanied with your education provide you with a strong foundation to take on this challenging role. A bonus if you possess, a working knowledge of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and/or graphic design.
